Holiday snaps (1)
There was a time not so long ago when many people, children and adults alike, would have relished the prospect of time off school or work; an uninterrupted time at home when you could watch box set after box set if that was your preference.
But the enforced – and continuing – lockdowns due to Covid-19 have changed all that. I know of one little boy who told his gran it was “AMAZING” to be back at school week and a young woman thrilled to be back at her job in the hair salon.
Lockdown may have been a breeze for some – a holiday even – but not for everyone, and it certainly doesn’t feel like a holiday if you’re at home when you expected to be in an exotic location on the other side of the world.
So over the next few weeks I’m intending to bring out some of my old holiday snaps – I hope you enjoy them. This one was taken in Paphos, Cyprus.
The next two are from Port William in Dumfries & Galloway.
